Suzuki Motorcycles York
Suzuki motorbikes York is one of the most common and affordable forms of transport throughout the world.
The first motorbike is credited to be the ‘Petroleum Reitwagen’ which was designed and built in Bad Cannstatt Germany by Gottlieb Daimle and Wilhelm Maybach in 1885. Hildebrand and Wolfmuller became the first series production in 1894 of motorbike.
In 1909 Michio Suzuki founded Suzuki Loom Company in Hamamatsu, Japan. He built industrial looms for the Japanese silk industry. It wasn’t until 1951 Suzuki began making clip on motors for bicycles. In 1953 Suzuki produced its first motorcycle the Diamond Free.
In 1961 Ernst Degner an East German defects to the west taking Walter Kaaden’s expansion chamber designs to Suzuki which are then used to win the 50cc class in the World Championships from 1962-67. Suzuki continues to grow and produce a large range of motorcycles becoming one of the ‘big four’ from Japan.
Currently motorbikes York manufacture is dominated by Japanese companies such as Suzuki, Kawasaki, Yamaha and Honda although BMW and Trumph remain big brands.
Currently Suzuki motorcycles York are looking into developing electric motorcycles are which alongside having many environmental benefits such as no gas emissions are also very quiet and fuel costs can be 75% cheaper than gas. However they are not as powerful as standard motorbikes and also do not have the same range as them. Also Hybrid electric-petrol motorbikes are being developed.
