The Norton Atlas Nomad, part of the all New Norton Atlas range, featuring the same 650 parallel twin engine as the Limited Edition Atlas SS. Producing a strong 84bhp, the 650 engine is derived from the mighty V4 1200cc Norton engine and gives the range a great power-to- weight ratio.

With the Nomad sporting a smaller 18″ front and 17″ rear wheel a Classic polished lower front fender. This gives the Nomad a lower 824mm seat height, Avon Trailrider tyres for a more road biased feel.

According to Stuart Garner, Norton’s CEO, it’s Norton’s first modern affordable bike. This is right in the middle of existing market territory.

“The Atlas is designed to be completely fit for purpose,” says head of design, Simon Skinner. “You really can take both versions down some greenlanes and get them messy, and it’s designed to be robust enough to keep going if you fall off. You can get to all the fuses and relays easily, and if you bend the subframe, you can take it off and get it straightened out because its steel, not aluminium.”

All the Atlas Range will come with the well sculptured 15ltr fuel tank giving a decent range between stops. Also fitted with Traction control and ABS switchable for On or Offroad modes. You will also be able to disable the system too.

Norton have already planned an extensive range of accessories to fit the range including luggage and crash protection, exhausts etc.
